Painting is not his trade but his private conversation with the world—one that began in 2012 and has never truly paused. With oils that breathe slowly and acrylics that arrive in bright, urgent bursts, he works on canvases stretched by his own hands or on boards shaped from raw timber, each surface prepared like a letter waiting for its message.
His subjects refuse allegiance to any single genre or style. They wander freely: a vast, brooding seascape that holds the memory of storms; a fragile still life trembling on the edge of abstraction; portraits that dissolve into colour and mood rather than likeness; landscapes stitched from dream and coastline; moments of ordinary light made suddenly extraordinary. Eclectic is not a description but a necessity—when everything in the world seems worthy of attention, the only dishonesty would be repetition.
There is no manifesto, only an enduring curiosity and a reverence for what paint can reveal when language falls short. One canvas may lean toward luminous realism, the next toward saturated, half-remembered reverie. Yet beneath the shifting surfaces runs a constant current: a deep listening, a willingness to let the work arrive on its own terms.
